¡TIERRA! // DIRT!

Estamos hechos de los mismos 5 elementos básicos que la Tierra.  Todos los organismos vivientes que encontramos en ella han venido usando y reusando las mismas moléculas una y otra vez en un ciclo sin fin.  El suelo, la tierra está viva, e incluye desde la bacteria más pequeña hasta seres casi inimaginables. La variedad que podemos encontrar en una simple "taza de tierra" es absolutamente increible.

¡Tierra! es un documental estadounidense inspirado en el libro de Bill Logan “Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth”. 

A lo largo de más de cuatro mil millones de años de evolución se ha ido creando la tierra fértil que hoy en día conocemos.  Absolutamente todo lo que hemos necesitado, lo hemos obtenido de ella.

Ya hace tiempo que hemos ido perdiendo esa conexión vital corriendo el altísimo riesgo que eso implica: Nuestra propia desaparición como especie.

Filmada en varios países y a través de entrevistas a activistas sociales, científicos, ambientalistas, agricultores, artistas y empresarios, este trabajo no sólo denuncia la situación actual sino que plantea visión de futuro, posibles soluciones y nuevas prácticas para volver a reconectarnos con la Tierra de forma consciente y respetuosa.

We are made of the same 5 basic elements  Earth is made of. All living organisms found in Earth have been using and reusing the same molecules over and over again in an endless cycle.  

The ground, the earth is alive , and includes everything from the smallest bacteria to almost unimaginable beings. The variety you can find in a simple cup of "dirt" is absolutely astonishing. 

Earth! is an American documentary inspired by the book of Bill Logan "Dirt : The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth" .Throughout more than four billion years of evolution has created the fertile soil that we know today . Absolutely everything we needed , we have got it from that soil.

But, for some time we have been losing that vital connection with Earth. This disconnection has a high risk: Our species extinction.

Filmed in several countries and through interviews with social activists , scientists, environmentalists, farmers, artists and entrepreneurs , this work does not only complaint about the current situation, but offers also  alternative visions, possible solutions and new practices  to reconnect with the Earth consciously and respectfully.
