Aunque parece que la ciencia y el budismo son antagónicos, si miramos más detalladamente, podremos ver las similitudes, si bien la forma de acercarse a la realidad sean, a priori, muy diferentes.El budismo aborda la realidad basándose en lo que las personas han experimentado por sí mismas. Los budistas dicen que el universo es uno y todo está conectado porque ellos sienten/experimentan que todo está realmente interconectado.
La ciencia tiene un enfoque diferente. Los científicos reúnen información para mejorar sus conocimientos sobre el mundo. Crean y prueban teorías y en cuanto reúnen nueva información que pueda contradecir las teorías previamente creadas, las cambian y crean sucesivamente otras nuevas. Intentan no creer ciegamente, sino demostrar que sus creencias son ciertas.
Lo curioso es que últimamente, los descubrimientos de la ciencia se acercan notablemente a la comprensión que el budismo tiene de la realidad. Confluencia entre oriente y occidente... quizás es una buena lección para unir a la humanidad en lugar de andar con enfrentamientos constantes...

Although it may seem science and buddhism are far apart, a closer view will allow you to see their similarities even when their approaches to reality are quite different.
Buddhism approaches reality based in what people have experienced for themselves. The buddhists say that the universe is one and all is connected beacause they feel-experience that everything is interconnected in a real way.
Science takes a different approach. Scientifics gather information to improve their knowledge about the world. They create and prove theories and as they gather more information that may contradict the so created theories, they change them and create new ones.They try not to only believe, but to demonstrate their believes are true.
What is curious is that lately, science discoveries approach closely to buddhism understanding of reality. Intersection of East and West ... maybe it's a good lesson to unite humanity instead of fighting constantly...
