COLLAPSE es un documental realizado por Chris Smith (2009), en el que entrevista a Michael Ruppert.
Ruppert, un antiguo policía de Los Ángeles que posteriormente ha sido reportero independiente y cuyo padre trabajaba para el cuerpo militar de USA, empezó a interesarse por las "anomalías" en el mundo en la década de los 80.
30 años de investigación personal le han mostrado como la cadena de mentiras, manipulación y ambición por parte de los gobiernos cada vez se extiende más y más y el público general, la gente de a pie, vive ajena a todo ello.
El argumento de Ruppert se basa en la crisis del petróleo. La civilización occidental depende totalmente de éste y las reservas de crudo no van a durar para siempre. De esta manera, nuestra forma de vida no podrá prolongarse indefinidamente, y, queramos o no, nos veremos obligados a cambiarla como sea. El crecimiento infinito en un planeta finito es sencillamente imposible.
Es un documental interesante, sobretodo sabiendo que Ruppert hablaba de todos los temas actuales antes de que ocurrieran. En el 2005 ya predijo la crisis que nos azota actualmente, denunciando que los gobiernos no hicieron nada para evitarla.
Considero que es interesante también porque, aunque en la forma pudiera parecer un tanto catastrofista, Ruppert ofrece un mensaje de esperanza, apelando a la creación de una nueva civilización más acorde con el planeta y todos los seres vivientes. Eso sí, el tiempo de transición... va a ser un poco durillo para muchos... ¿Y si el dinero del futuro resultaran ser las semillas?
Creo que vale la pena echarle un vistazo y sacar las conclusiones que cada uno considere más oportunas.

COLLAPSE is a documentary directed by Chris Smith (2009), in which he interviews Michael Ruppert.
Ruppert, a former LA Police and later freelance reporter, whose father worked for the U.S. military body, became interested in the "strange facts" happening in the world in the 80's.
30 years of personal research have shown him as the chain of lies, manipulation and ambition spread out by governments, extends more and more and the general public, the ordinary people, have no idea of it.
Ruppert's argument is based on the oil crisis. Western civilization is totally dependent on it and the oil reserves will not last forever. Our way of life can not continue indefinitely, and we will have to change it somehow. The infinite growth on a finite planet is simply impossible.

It is an interesting documentary, especially knowing that Ruppert talked of all the current issues before they occurred. In 2005 he predicted the present crisis , claiming that governments did not do anything to prevent it.
I think it is also interesting because, although the form might seem a bit alarmist, Ruppert offers a message of hope, calling for the creation of a new civilization more in tune with the planet and all living things. Of course, the transition time ... is going to be a little hard for many ... What if the money of the future prove to be the seeds?
I think it's worth looking at this work and conclude what you think is more in tune with you.
