Edgar Cayce, nacido en 1877 en el estado de Kentucky, soñaba desde pequeño con ser médico misionero.
A muy temprana edad empezó a tener visiones, incluso decía hablar con su difunto abuelo y parecía memorizar libros mientras dormía sin siquiera leerlos. A los 16 años tuvo que dejar sus estudios para ayudar económicamente a sus padres.
Sin saber nada de medicina, Cayce podía ver el interior del cuerpo humano y hacer diagnósticos precisos. Tal era este don que varios médicos le pedían ayuda cuando no podían curar la dolencia de algún paciente. A menudo, los pacientes ni siquiera estaban presentes y él podía ver lo que les ocurría. En estado hipnótico efectuaba sus clarividencias y su esposa anotaba todo lo que decía. Para la sorpresa de muchos, su precisión era notable.
Sus profecías fueron numerosas, de la magnitud del mismísimo Nostradamus. Quizás este último el más conocido, pero no por ello hay que olvidar que en el mundo han habido varios más.
En 1944, Cayce realizó su última lectura. Un año más tarde, murió.
Este documental de la serie "Decodificando la historia", nos acerca un poco más a la vida de esta persona que ayudó a tantas otras, si bien no de una forma convencional.
Interesante para ver cómo algunas personas pueden conectar con algo que ni vemos ni oímos, pero que de alguna forma, parece existir y estar al alcance de quienes tienen el don de percibirlo.
Quien sabe, igual todos tenemos ese don, solo que no lo hemos desarrollado.

At an early age he began to have visions, saying that he was even talking to his late grandfather. While sleeping he was also able to memorize books without even reading them . At 16 he had to leave school to help economically support his parents.
Without knowing anything about medicine, Cayce could see inside the human body and make accurate diagnoses. Such powerful was his inner gift that several doctors asked him for help when they could not cure the ailment of a patient . Often , patients were not even present and he could see what was happening . In hypnotic states, he effected their clairvoyance and his wife wrote down everything he said . To the surprise of many, his accuracy was remarkable.
His prophecies were numerous, as important as Nostradamus ones. Perhaps Nostradamus is the most popular, but we should not forget that in the world there have been several more .
In 1944 , Cayce made his last reading. A year later , he died.
This documentary series " Decoding the story," brings us one step closer to the life of this person who helped so many others, but not in a conventional way.
Interesting to see how some people can connect with something that cannot neither be seen not be heard, but somehow seems to exist and be accessible to those who have the gift of perceiving .
Who knows, maybe we all have this gift, but we have not developed it.
