GARBAGE WARRIOR: LA PERFECTA CASA ECOLÓGICA

¿Qué tal si empezáramos a construir casas sostenibles, ecológicas, cuyo diseño ayude a mantener una temperatura confortable en su interior, que recojan agua, que reciclen sus propios desperdicios y que puedan proveer a sus habitantes de comida vegetal necesaria? 

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Sería genial, pero menuda utopía!!!!!!

¡¡¡Pues no lo es!!!

Michael Reynolds es un arquitecto norteamericano que lleva 35 años rompiendo las reglas de la arquitectura “convencional”. Construye viviendas con basura: latas, barro, botellas de plástico y neumáticos viejos.

Son viviendas sostenibles para vivir confortablemente, pensadas para las personas, no para hacer “negocio”. Viviendas que prescinden de recursos externos tales como agua, gas y electricidad, hasta puntos casi inimaginables…

¡¡¡¡Por fin nos desharíamos de esas elevadísimas facturas de servicios tan necesarios!!!!!

GARBAGE WARRIOR (El guerrero de la basura), documental  del año 2007,  nos sumerge en el proyecto de Reynolds, sus ideas, sus diseños, los problemas derivados de tal creatividad. Y es que… su trabajo, evidentemente ha sido rechazado por muchos: políticos, compañeros de profesión, etc… en pocas palabras… las pasó canutas. Ya se sabe… salir del “montón” siempre es complicado…

Para tomar buena nota… sobre todo los “grandes bricolajeros” ¿Por qué no hemos empezado a construir este tipo de viviendas antes?

Me voy a por la Black & Decker ahora mismo…

What about starting to build environmental sustainable houses whose design could help to maintain a confortable temperature inside, able to collect water, recycle waste materials, and provide their inhabitants of necessary vegetables to eat? 

It is such a wonderful dream!!!!

But it is not a dream, it's real !!!!

Michael Reynolds is an American architect that has been breaking the “architecture conventional rules” for the last 35 years. He builds homes with waste material such as cans, clay, plastic bottles and old tires.

Sustainable houses to live in confort, designed for people, not to do “business”. Homes that are free from the need of external resources such as water, gas, electricity, to an unimaginable point.

¡¡¡¡We would be, at last, much more free from those bills we have to pay to get such needed utilities!!!! 

GARBAGE WARRIOR is a documentary (year 2007) that shows Reynold’s ideas, designs and also all the problems resulting from his creativity. Obviuosly, his work has been rejected by politicians, and also by  many other architects. You know... being different and having new ideas is always complicated.

Important to take note of several ideas, specially the ones that like to make hand-make things.  Why haven’t we started to build this way before?

Going to take the Black & Decker right now...
